This zoo was established in the year 1861 and is therefore known as the oldest zoo ever located in India. In early times, it was known as Rani Bagh and present audible as Verrmata Jajibai Bhonsle Udyan. The garden occupies a space of 48 acres and even has a museum located inside the area that has been architected by British.
