Zinta went to St Lawrence Boarding School where she took interest in Literature, basketball and stage performances. Later she completed her graduation in English from St. Bedes in Shimla and continued higher studies and bagged a post graduate degree in Criminal Psychology. Surprising she wanted to become a nun, much to her mother’s opposition. Modelling and stepping into movies were chance factors for her. In 1996, she happened to come across a director in one of her friend’s birthday party and instantly was given offer for modelling. She auditioned for it and bagged the advertisement campaign for Perk chocolates and became the face of every household.
