Rashmi Gautam was born in Berhampur, Orissa on 7th April 1988. She is Oriya by ethnicity. Since she has not shared details about her parents, her parental details are unknown. She spent her childhood and received basic education in Vishakhapatnam. She was interested in acting and hence shifted to Hyderabad to make a mark in cinema. She got her break with the Telugu movie Holi in the year 2002.

She began her media career as dancer before her advent into cinema. Initially, she started getting offers for supporting roles in Telugu films. As she picked some fame with her onscreen presence, she got anchoring jobs for TV shows. This gradually helped her gain more viewership. As of now, she has already featured in many serials and reality shows on Television. Presently she earns 40,000 per show. She hosts TV shows Ragada and Super Kutumbam.



Rashmi did her second movie Thanks in the year 2006. Her busiest year was 2009 when she featured in 4 movies titled Current, Well done Abbas, Ganesh Just Ganesh and Bindaas.
